Chris Doctor is a former Division I lacrosse player and current Division I lacrosse coach at Sacred Heart University. After graduating in 2007 from Rutgers University as a four year letter winner at Attack and Midfield, Chris went on to coach at Lafayette College (2007 - 2010) and Penn State University (2010 - 2017), serving as an Assistant coach for each program, respectively. During his stint at Penn State he was also part of the Iroquois Nationals staff twice. He was an Assistant on the 2014 Men's team that won Bronze in the World Championships, an Assistant of the U-19 team in 2016 that also placed third and most recently won another Bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships with the Haudenosaunee Nationals.
After Penn State Chris gained valuable experience at the youth level in a role as the Director of a regional summer club program for 3dlacrosse, LLC and currently works with the Eclipse Lacrosse program. In that same period Chris also served as the Head Coach of Greens Farms Academy for the 2018 season and then as an Assistant Coach for the Wilton Varsity team in 2019.
Following his several years of youth and high school experience Chris has returned to coaching Men's Division I lacrosse on a full time basis beginning August 2019.
With coaching experience at just about every level the sport has to offer, combined with the passion to develop players to their full potential, Chris is dedicated to providing training opportunities that will be enjoyable, but also productive!
